Pine Tree Sweeps Bullard in Volleyball Season-Opener

LONGVIEW -- Sky Holmes recorded 17 kills to lead the Pine Tree Lady Pirates to a 25-20, 25-12, 25-20 win Monday night in the volleyball season-opener for both teams.

Darby Davis contributed 10 digs and setter Emily Shelton made 29 assists in the win for the Lady Pirates (1-0).

Meredith Daly led Bullard (0-1) with seven kills, one ace and one block. Mackenzie Fish contributed seven kills and five digs, while Bri Ridgley added 11 assists.

Pine Tree plays Royse City on Tuesday in Richardson, while Bullard (0-1) has a tri-match Tuesday with Jacksonville and Bullard Brook Hill at home.
