When the 2016 football season kicks off in a couple of weeks, there will be plenty of great games on the first Friday night.

One of those is Atlanta at Henderson on Aug. 26, which checks in at No. 16 on ETSN.fm's list of the top 25 games of 2016.

These two teams have met in non-district in each of the last two seasons with the Rabbits and Lions splitting the encounters. Atlanta took a 28-24 victory in 2014, while Henderson grabbed a thrilling 39-38 win last year.

Another hard-fought affair is expected this season.

Atlanta, which has reached the 4A Division II state quarterfinals in each of the last two seasons, brings back 10 starters in 2016. The Rabbits will rely on the combination of ATH Kelton Young on offense and OLB Tristan Allen on the defensive side of the ball.

Henderson missed out on the playoffs in 2015 despite finishing with a 7-3 record. The Lions will have 13 starters back (seven offense, six defense), including WR/DB Trestan Ebner and RB/DB Lakendrick VanZandt -- both TCU commits.
