PITTSBURG -- Aaron 'Poppy' Brown accounted for five total touchdowns and Gilmer closed its regular season with a 37-22 win over Pittsburg on Friday night.

Gilmer ended its regular season with an 8-2 record and 4-1 in District 7-4A Division II, while Pittsburg finished 6-4 overall and 3-2 in district. Both move on to the bi-district round of the playoffs, with Gilmer facing Diboll and Pittsburg taking on Rusk in the first round.

Brown threw two touchdown passes and ran for three more as he had a hand in every Gilmer touchdown. He connected with JaMareon Grannville and Morgan Lusty for scores, while rushing for touchdowns of 5, 5 and 23 yards.

Keithlen Griffin caught two touchdowns for Pittsburg, while Jordan Turner also contributed a 1-yard touchdown run.
