The first Division I offer has arrived for Longview senior running back Jessie Anderson.

The Lobos' back reported via Twitter that Abilene Christian offered on Monday morning.

Anderson (6-0, 225) has rushed for 935 yards and 21 touchdowns this season. He also has 13 catches for 168 yards and two touchdowns.

He is coming off a 101-yard effort in Longview's 14-0 quarterfinal playoff win over Spring Westfield last Saturday.

Anderson and his Longview (14-0) teammates face Amarillo Tascosa (11-3) this Saturday in the Class 6A Division II semifinals. Kickoff is scheduled for 8 p.m. from AT&T Stadium in Arlington.

Abilene Christian is an FCS school that competes in the Southland Conference. The Wildcats are coached by Adam Dorrel, and finished 2018 with a 6-5 overall record (5-4 in conference).

Anderson, like all seniors, is first eligible to sign with any program that offers him on Dec. 19.
