Arkansas-Pine Bluff Offers Liberty-Eylau’s Dazawion Cooper
The first Division I scholarship offer arrived Friday for Liberty-Eylau 2019 wide receiver Dazawaion Cooper.
The Leopards' playmaker reported via Twitter that Arkansas-Pine Bluff has offered.
Cooper (6-3, 176) was part of an explosive Liberty-Eylau offense in 2017 that averaged almost 40 points per game. The Leopards finished 7-6 overall and reached the regional semifinal round of the Class 4A Division I playoffs.
Arkansas-Pine Bluff is an FCS school that competes in the Southwestern Athletic Conference. The Golden Lions hired Cedric Thomas as its new head coach this offseason. They finished 2-9 overall and 1-6 in the SWAC in 2017.
Cooper, like all juniors, is first eligible to sign with any team that offers him beginning in December.
