Atlanta’s Jawan King Offered By Arkansas-Pine Bluff
Atlanta's Jawan King received his eighth Division I scholarship offer late Friday night.
The Rabbits' standout announced via Twitter that Arkansas-Pine Bluff has offered.
King (5-10, 210) also holds FBS offers from Louisiana-Monroe, Texas State, and UTSA, and additional FCS opportunities from Illinois State, Incarnate Word, Missouri State, and Northwestern State.
Last season, King was part of an offense that averaged more than 30 points per game. Atlanta finished the 2017 season at 5-6 overall, reaching the Class 4A Division II playoffs.
Arkansas-Pine Bluff is an FCS school that competes in the Southwestern Athletic Conference. The Golden Lions hired Cedric Thomas as its new head coach this offseason. They finished 2-9 overall and 1-6 in the SWAC in 2017.
King, like all juniors, is first eligible to sign with any program that offers him in December.
