Carthage Jumps On Center Early En Route to 42-12 Victory

CENTER -- Gunner Capps threw three touchdowns and Keaontay Ingram added two more in No. 1 Carthage's 42-12 rout of District 9-4A Division I rival Center on Friday night.

Capps connected with Mekhi Colbert, Dewaylon Ingram and Baylor Cole for touchdowns on the night, with the first two coming in a 35-point first half.

Texas commit Keaontay Ingram scored on touchdown runs of 30 and 3 yards in the first quarter, which ended with the Bulldogs (7-0, 3-0) up 21-0.

Marques Hall scored both of Center's touchdowns on the ground in the fourth quarter. The Roughriders dropped to 2-6 on the season and 2-2 in district with the loss.
