Carthage Remains Perfect In District With Sweep Of Henderson

CARTHAGE -- The Carthage Lady Dawgs remained unbeaten in District 19-4A with a 25-14, 25-21, 25-13 sweep of Henderson on Tuesday night.

Marisah Ingram led Carthage (24-11, 7-0) with 18 kills. Alli Capps added 13 kills, Faith Landreneaux finished with six kills, Kenzie Templeton dished out 41 assists, Kaitlyn Nutt provided solid defense with 15 digs, Bree Gwinn added four digs of her own, and Kamry Smith was a perfect 18 of 18 from the service line.

Carthage returns to action Saturday at home against Tatum, while Henderson travels to Rusk on Friday night.

Beckville Sweeps Leverett's Chapel

LAIRD HILL -- The Beckville Lady Bearcats rolled to a 25-20, 25-5, 25-17 sweep of Leverett's Chapel in District 20-2A action Tuesday night.

Carson Blair led the way for Beckville (30-4, 8-0) with 10 kills, four digs and two aces. Carley Lawhorn added nine kills, three digs and a pair of aces, Natalie Morris had seven kills, two digs and two aces, while Kassidy Alexander dished out 31 assists to go along with a kill, five digs and two aces.

Beckville returns to action Friday at Timpson.
