Colton Clack’s Five TDs Lead Texas High Past Liberty-Eylau
TEXARKANA—Coltin Clack threw for four touchdowns, helping Texas High spoil Liberty-Eylau’s Homecoming Friday at Harris Field with a 47-35 Tiger victory.
Clack connected with Mason Jones twice for scores, hooked up with Kobe Webster for a TD and also connected with Myles Washington, who covered 71 yards to pay dirt.
Clack, who added a 1-yard TD run, was 7-of-18 passing for 145 yards with no interceptions.
Isaiah Cross tossed a pair of touchdowns to Marvin Riles and also rushed for a late TD for the Leopards. Cross finished 11-of-23 for 237 and no picks.
Riles had 145 yards receiving.
Korbyn White broke free on a 73-yard jaunt for the Leopards in the last minute of the first quarter, which featured 33 combined points.
Chris Sutton had an 11-yard TD run for the Tigers and rushed 28 times for 112 yards.
Cross led L-E’s rushers with 107 yards on just 11 carries.
THS finished with 362 yards of total offense with 217 coming on the ground.
Liberty-Eylau piled up 510 yards of offense with 273 on the ground.
Texas High took a 33-21 lead into halftime and led 47-28 after Sutton’s scoring run midway through the fourth quarter.
Cross scored on a fourth-down try with 2:50 left to cap the scoring.
