Daingerfield's Tyrese Grant Adds Appalachian State Offer

Tyrese Grant added another offer Wednesday.

Grant, a 2020 receiver from Daingerfield, tweeted that Appalachian State became the latest school to offer him.

Grant (6-0, 160) also holds FBS offers from Colorado State and Hawaii along with FCS opportunities from Alcorn State, Arkansas-Pine Bluff, Coastal Carolina, Lamar, Liberty, and McNeese State. He also has a Division II offer from Tarleton State.

Last season, Grant played both receiver and defensive back. He caught seven passes for 304 yards and four touchdowns, and made 24 tackles with two interceptions on defense. He caught three passes for 39 yards in the Tigers' season opener.

Appalachian State competes in the Sun Belt Conference of the NCAA's FBS subdivision. The Mountaineers are 1-1 this far in 2018, but took Penn State to overtime in Week 1.

Grant, like all juniors, is first eligible to sign with any school that offers him beginning in December 2019.
