Eli Carter’s Five Touchdowns Ignite Gladewater’s Rout of Eustace

VAN — Eli Carter rushed for 267 yards and five touchdowns, leading Gladewater to a 55-7 rout of Eustace in their Class 3A Division I area playoff Friday at Van Memorial Stadium.

Gladewater (11-1) will face Malakoff (9-2) at 7:30 p.m. next Friday from Tyler’s Christus TMF Rose Stadium in a Region II semifinal.

Eustace finished the season at 4-8.

Gladewater scored on its first four possessions of the game, including a trio of first-quarter touchdowns from Carter, and led 34-0 at halftime.
