ROCKWALL – Longview got a strong start in its latest big win.

The fourth-ranked Lobos scored on the first snap and rolled to a 48-10 over Rockwall-Heath in District 11-6A action Friday night at Wilkerson-Sanders Memorial Stadium.

Haynes King connected with three different receivers in a five-touchdown night overall. He had four passing touchdowns and scampered for another. Kamden Perry was on the receiving end of two of those passes for a 103-yard night receiving.

King totaled 275 yards through the air for the Lobos (7-0, 3-0), who led 27-10 at intermission.

Jessie Anderson had a rushing touchdown to go with 69 yards rushing. Keilyn Williams tallied 87 on 13 totes.

JD Williams and Kevin Jones had a touchdown grab each as well. JK Martin had two field goal boots.

The Lobos held Heath (2-6, 1-3) to one score and a field goal in the win.

King hit Perry on Longview’s first snap then Jones before Anderson’s touchdown run for a 21-0 lead.

Heath found the end zone on a long passing play early in the second quarter. Martin’s kicks made it 27-10 at halftime before the Lobos scored 21 unanswered in the second half.

Longview returns to Lobo Stadium next Friday playing host to North Mesquite
