Friday Volleyball: Beckville Keeps Rolling
ELYSIAN FIELDS -- Beckville took care of business on the road Friday night, sweeping Elysian Fields.
The Lady Cats won in sets of 25-9, 25-7 and 25-8. Miranda Mize and Jordan Tondreau had 11 kills apiece to lead the way. Kinley Pepper finished with 34 assists and Courtlyn Nail had 12 digs.
Beckville improved to 22-7 and will next face Gilmer at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday in Beckville.
Chapel Hill takes down Leverett's Chapel
CHAPEL HILL -- The Lady Bulldogs came up with a sweep.
Chapel Hill defeated Leverett's Chapel by scores of 25-18, 25-14 and 25-11 on Friday evening. Maddy Wages led with seven aces and 24 assists, while Kamryn Wages had 11 kills.
Chapel will will next face Rusk on Tuesday in a home game.
Rains downs Wills Point in four
EMORY - The Rains Lady Cats bounced back after a disappointing week by handling the visiting Lady Tigers from Wills Point in four sets.
Rains prevailed 25-15, 24-26, 25-17, and 25-22.
Chanlee Oakes had 11 kills while Summer Nerkowski finished with 10.
The Lady Cats will next play on Tuesday in the Brownsboro Tournament.
