Gary Wiley Flips Commitment to SMU
Deciding which college to attend is one of the first important life decisions one must make.
Gary Wiley made that choice on Sunday. Wiley, a 2018 LB from Pine Tree, announced his commitment to SMU.
Wiley was committed to Missouri State, but changed his mind following a visit to SMU over the weekend. He finished the 2017 season with 100 tackles, 23 for loss and 13 sacks. Pine Tree finished the year 3-8 and lost in the first round of the playoffs.
SMU competes in the American Athletics Conference of the NCAA's Division I FBS subdivision. The Mustangs finished the season 7-6, losing to Louisiana Tech in the Frisco Bowl.
Wiley, like all seniors, can sign with any team that offers him on National Signing Day, scheduled for Feb. 7.
