Bullard junior tight end Major Tennison picked up another big Division I FBS offer on Wednesday evening, as the Panthers' standout officially became a target of the Georgia Bulldogs.

Tennison (6-6, 248), who is currently committed to Texas, now has nine scholarship opportunities. He announced the Georgia offer via Twitter.

In addition to Texas and Georgia, Tennison also has standing offers from Alabama, Arkansas, Michigan, Nebraska, Oklahoma State, SMU, and Texas Tech.

Tennison became the first East Texan in the 2017 class to receive an offer from Georgia, which will begin the 2016 season under new leadership. Former Alabama defensive coordinator Kirby Smart is the new head coach, replacing Mark Richt, who is now in charge of the Miami program.

Georgia, which is a member of the SEC's East Division, finished 2015 with an overall record of 10-3 and ended the year with a 24-17 win over Penn State in the Taxslayer Bowl.

Tennison caught 27 passes in 11 games last season for 603 yards. Eight receptions went for touchdowns as Bullard finished with a record of 7-4, earning a trip to the bi-district round of the Class 4A Division II playoffs.

Bullard will compete in District 9-4A D-I in 2016, along with Carthage, Center, Chapel Hill, Henderson, Kilgore, and Palestine.

Tennison, like all football recruits currently in their junior year of high school, will become eligible to sign with any program that offers him in February, 2017.
