Henderson Makes Easy Work of Atlanta, 36-0, in Season-Opener
HENDERSON -- Five different players scored touchdowns for Henderson in the Lions' season-opening 36-0 shutout of Atlanta on Friday night.
Lynn Freeney ran for 81 yards, including a 45-yard touchdown, to lead the Lions' rushing attack, which also got touchdown runs from Kourtland Jackson, Trae Hall and Keshoyn Alexander.
The Lions also got a touchdown defensively, thanks to Ty Blanton's 53-yard interception return to the end zone.
D.Q. Murphy added 91 yards on the ground for Henderson.
Jawan King led Atlanta's rushing attack with 78 yards.
