HOOKS — Jefferson took care of business on the road with a 50-7 win over Hooks in a District 7-3A District I matchup Friday night.

The first points of the game came off a blocked punt by Trace Smith that put the Bulldogs up early.

Jefferson kept putting points on the board, and stopped Hooks from nearing the goal-line throughout the first half.

Just before halftime, the Bulldogs scored again late in the second when Dee Black rushed in from 25 yards out before closing out a huge half for Jefferson, which led 30-0 at the break.

Hooks (5-4, 3-2) managed to score in second half, but Jefferson continued to put points on the board.

Dee Black rushed for 119 yards, while Trey Hodge passed for 170 yards and three touchdowns.

Jefferson hosts Redwater (1-8, 1-4) next Friday night, while Hooks visits Atlanta (4-5, 4-1).
