Eric Gipson was all in the backfield on Friday.

Gipson and the Jefferson defense gave Clarksville no mercy on its way to a 62-0 shutout. He led the way with 14 tackles, nine for a loss, two sacks and two quarterback hurries. With Gipson terrorizing the Clarksville offense, it's no wonder Clarksville had trouble putting points up.

For his efforts, he is the ETSN.fm + Dairy Queen Defensive Player of the Week. He follows Harmony's Nick Hoelscher, who won for his two-touchdown effort last week.

Jefferson improved to 5-0 with the victory, and its past two games have been shutouts. It will take the week off before a matchup with New Boston on Oct. 13.
