PALESTINE -- Keaontay Ingram rushed for four touchdowns -- three in the first half -- to lead No. 1 Carthage to a 49-31 win over Palestine on Friday night at Wildcat Stadium.

The win wrapped up the District 9-4A Division I title for Carthage (9-0, 5-0).

Ingram, the University of Texas commit, scored on runs of 4, 36, and 25 yards in helping the Bulldogs to a 42-10 halftime lead. He added a 6-yarder in the third quarter for Carthage's final score of the night.

Carthage junior quarterback Gunner Capps added three first-half touchdown passes -- a 13-yarder to Dee Bowens and strikes of 42 and 7 yards to Dewaylon Ingram.

Palestine (4-5, 2-3) quarterback Tyler Gray accounted for three touchdowns to lead the Wildcats.

Both teams conclude the regular season next Friday night. Carthage plays host to Chapel Hill, while Palestine travels to Henderson.
