Kenneth Woods Adds First FBS Offer

The work is finally paying off for Brownsboro linebacker Kenneth Woods.

Woods, a senior, posted on Twitter on Tuesday that he received a scholarship offer from Southern Miss.

Woods was part of a Brownsboro team that finished 5-6 this season, falling in the first round of the playoffs to Liberty-Eylau.

Southern Miss competes in the NCAA Division I FBS subdivision in Conference USA. The Golden Eagles are 8-4 this season.

Scotty Walden, the former coach at East Texas Baptist University, is on the staff at Southern Miss.

Woods also boasts offers from schools such as Stephen F. Austin and Kilgore Junior College.

Like all seniors, he is first eligible to sing with any school that offers him in December.
