Liberty-Eylau Gets First Win, Smashes Atlanta, 41-7
TEXARKANA -- The Liberty-Eylau Leopards recorded their first victory of the season with a dominant 41-7 win over Atlanta in a battle of winless teams Friday night.
Leopards quarterback Isaiah Cross ran for 103 yards and passed for two touchdowns to lead the way.
Liberty-Eylau (1-3) also got two rushing touchdowns from Damian Henderson and one from Talveyion Cooper.
Atlanta (0-4) was led by Jawan King, who ran for 54 yards and the Rabbits' lone touchdown of the night.
Both teams return to action next Friday. Atlanta opens District 7-3A Division I play at Redwater, while Liberty-Eylau faces No. 2 Argyle in a neutral-site game in Sulphur Springs.
