TEXARKANA -- The Liberty-Eylau Leopards totaled 835 yards of offense in a 66-21 rout of Arkansas High on Friday night.

Liberty-Eylau (2-1), which grabbed a 45-7 lead by halftime, scored nine offensive touchdowns and one on defense to blow past its neighbors across the Texas-Arkansas border.

Leopards senior quarterback Ke'Mon Freeman led the way, finishing with 317 passing yards and five touchdowns, while adding 177 yards and a touchdown on the ground. He had scoring tosses of 59, 11, 22, 74 and 22 yards.

L-E senior wideout Thurman Morbley was Freeman's favorite target. He ended his night with eight catches for 220 yards and two touchdowns, while Decorian Meadows had four receptions for 63 yards and a pair of TD's.

Leopards running back Lamont Byrd had a huge performance as well with 191 yards and three touchdowns on 25 carries.

All told, Liberty-Eylau picked up 28 first downs and racked up 518 rushing yards as a team to go with the 317 through the air.

Liberty-Eylau's season resumes next Friday night at Tatum.
