BELLMEAD -- Liberty-Eylau couldn't overcome a talented Waco La Vega squad, falling 56-19 on Friday.

La Vega scored the game's first four touchdown on their way to the rout. Dazawion Copper finished 6-of-11 for 113 yards the lead the Leopard offense. Liberty-eylau was doomed by its three fumbles on the evening.

The Leopard first scored with 7:30 remaining in the second quarter on a 26-yard pass from Isaiah Cross to Cedric Dickerson.

The Leopards dropped to 1-5 with the loss. They have a bye in Week 7 before opening district play with Sprin Hill at 7:30 p.m. Oct. 19.
