Linden-Kildare’s Ty Patterson is the ETSN.fm + Dairy Queen Defensive Player of the Week

They say defense is the best offense, and Ty Patterson exemplified that Friday night.

Patterson, a linebacker for Linden-Kildare, scored two defensive touchdowns en route to the Tiger's 40-26 victory against Hooks. The first touchdown was a 99-yard return after he forced a fumble and the second being a 60-yard interception return.

Patterson also recorded 25 tackles. He ranked third this past season with 200 tackles and is the leading returning tackler in East Texas.

The Tigers next face Clarksville at 7:30 p.m. Friday in Linden.
