First Division I Offer Arrives For Longview's Sawyer Goram-Welch

The first Division I FBS scholarship offer arrived Tuesday for Longview 2020 defensive lineman Sawyer Goram-Welch.

The Lobos' defender was offered by Louisiana Tech. It was first reported by the Longview News-Journal.

Goram-Welch (6-4, 260) is the 14th member of East Texas' 2020 recruiting class to pick up at least one FBS offer.

Last season, Goram-Welch played on the offensive line for Longview's junior varsity team. He made the move to the defensive front this spring.

Louisiana Tech is a member of Conference USA and is coached by Skip Holtz. The Bulldogs were 7-6 (4-4 in conference) in 2017.

Goram-Welch, like all incoming juniors, is first eligible to sign with any school that offers him beginning in December 2019.
