LSU Offers Sulphur Springs Junior Larry Pryor

The ninth Division I FBS offer arrived Wednesday for Sulphur Springs' Larry Pryor, and it was a big one.

Pryor's offer list is now as follows: Arkansas, Baylor, LSU, Notre Dame, Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, TCU, Texas, and Texas Tech.

Projected as a safety at the college level, Pryor had a monster junior season at quarterback. He threw for 2,666 yards, 26 touchdowns, and six interceptions, while rushing for 1,027 yards, 16 touchdowns, and 6.8 yards per carry. He won the ETSN.fm/Dairy Queen Offensive Player of the Week award twice in a three-week span in November.

Pryor's big season on offense followed a breakout sophomore year on defense in 2012, when he led Sulphur Springs with 118 tackles. He also had one interception, two forced fumbles, and a team-leading 10 pass breakups.

Pryor played on defense in a limited role this season and still finished with two interceptions and one forced fumble.

The offer is only LSU's second in East Texas' 2015 class. Gladewater defensive tackle Daylon Mack, who is committed to Texas A&M, also holds an offer from the Tigers.
