The recruitment of Henderson junior receiver Trestan Ebner is in full swing, and another big-time program officially made the Lions' standout a target.

Ebner (5-11, 180) confirmed through Twitter on Thursday morning that Missouri became the 13th Division I FBS program to extend an offer his way.

In addition to the new scholarship opportunity, Ebner holds offers from Arkansas, Houston, Kansas, Illinois, Indiana, North Texas, Ole Miss, SMU, Syracuse, UTSA, TCU, and Tulsa.

Ebner isn't the only East Texas receiver in the 2017 class to get the attention of Missouri, which also offered John Tyler's Damion Miller -- a Texas commit -- earlier this week.

Missouri, which hired Barry Odom to replace longtime head Gary Pinkel during the offseason, is set to begin its fifth season as a member of the SEC. The first four years included consecutive East Division championships in 2013 and 2014.

The Tigers were 5-7 in 2015, just their second losing season since 2005. Odom, who served as Missouri’s defensive coordinator last year, will be entering his first season as a collegiate head coach.

Ebner helped Henderson to a 7-3 finish in 2015. The Lions missed the playoffs despite tying for fourth place in District 9-4A Division I, but they ended the regular season with a 30-10 win over the league’s first-place finisher, Kilgore.

The Lions will once again occupy 9-4A D-I this season, alongside Bullard, Carthage, Center, Chapel Hill, Kilgore, and Palestine.

Ebner, like all high school football players currently in their junior year, will become eligible to sign with any school that offers him in February.
