New Diana Moves to Third Round for First Time Since 1995
GREENVILLE-- New Diana went up early and didn't look back, going on to defeat Leonard, 36-8 on Friday evening.
Jackson Sampson was his typical self, throwing for 214 yards and two touchdowns. Cody Payton was his favorite target, catching five passes for 100 yards and both touchdowns.
New Diana scored the first 36 points of the game before allowing Leonard to score a meaningless touchdown late in the game.
Zane Freeman led the rushing attack with 75 yards.
The Eagles advance to the regional semifinals for the first time since 1995 with the victory. They will face Jacksboro and the time, date and place have yet to be announced.
