Newton’s Caiden Walker Commits to Stephen F. Austin

Caiden Walker is one step closer to his future.

Walker, a 2019 offensive lineman for Newton, tweeted Friday evening that he committed to Stephen F. Austin.

Walker committed to the Lumberjacks over offers from Louisiana Tech, Louisiana Monroe, McNeese State and more. He is part of a Newton offense averaging 505 yards per game and will play for his second state title in as many season at 3 p.m. Thursday at AT&T Stadium in Arlington.

Stephen F. Austin competes in the Southland Conference of the NCAA's FCS subdivision. The Lumberjacks finished this past season 2-8.

Walker, like all seniors, is first eligible to sign with any school that offers him beginning Dec. 19.
