Newton’s Tamauzia Brown Offered By New Mexico State
Newton 2019 athlete Tamauzia Brown picked up his 19th Division I FBS scholarship offer on Thursday.
Brown (6-1, 170) announced via Twitter that New Mexico State has offered.
In addition to the Aggies, Brown holds major offers from Arkansas, Baylor, Houston, Missouri, Nebraska, Oklahoma State, Oregon, TCU, and Texas Tech.
Last season in helping Newton win the Class 3A Division II state championship, Brown starred on both sides of the ball. He finished as East Texas' interceptions leader with 12, while also posting a combined 1,432 yards rushing and receiving and 18 total touchdowns.
New Mexico State competes in the Sun Belt Conference. The Aggies, coached by Doug Martin, were 7-6 overall and 4-4 in league play in 2017.
Brown, like all juniors, can first sign with any team that offers him in December.
