Pine Tree Rallies to Gain 35-28 Victory Against Hallsville
LONGVIEW--Pine Tree defeated Hallsvilleon Friday, 35-28, but not without drama.
The Pirates turned the ball over on two of their first three possessions and allowed the Bobcats to jump out to a 21-0 lead. Thanks to a four-touchdown effort from Keshon Williams, though, they overcame.
Pine Tree scored 35 unanswered points, starting with a 1-yard touchdown run from Williams. By the time halftime came around, the score was knotted at 21.
The Pirates took the lead for good after a 34-yard run from quarterback Wade Seidel set up Williams' third touchdown of the evening.
The victory improved Pine Tree to 2-5 overall and 2-1 in District 16-5A. The Pirates will get a week off before traveling to Marshall at 7:30 p.m. Nov. 3 for a matchup with the Mavericks.
