Pittsburg Comes Back to Beat Pine Tree
LONGVIEW--Pittsburg scored 13 fourth quarter points to take down Pine Tree, 27-23 on Friday.
Pittsburg after forced a Pine Tree punt with 7:49 left in regulation and then got to work to score. Jordan Turner, who finished with 130 yards on 22 carries, did most of the work on a 9-play, 58-yard drive that ultimately won the game.
Adrian Taylor finished with 104 yards on 22 carries and two touchdowns, while Gabe Adams recorded 74 yards on four receptions. Pittsburg’s Jaylon Jimmerson ran for 85 yards and threw for 107 more. Keontae Burns was his top target with seven grabs for 72 yards.
Pittsburg (2-0) remains on the road Friday at Henderson, while Pine Tree (0-2) will travel to face Kilgore.
