ALLEN -- Ben Harmon turned in a prolific night passing, leading a steamrolling Pleasant Grove offensive attack Friday night against its District 6-4A Division II opponent Gilmer.

Harmon finished with five touchdown passes as the Hawks advanced to the state quarterfinals with a 56-28 win over the Buckeyes in a Class 4A Division II, Region II semifinal at Eagle Stadium.

Pleasant Grove (11-2) will face another district foe, Pittsburg (10-3), next week.

Harmon rolled up 254 yards passing on a 12-of-14 night for Pleasant Grove, which tacked on 282 rushing yards in the win.

Bruce Garrett tallied 181 yards on 18 carries with a touchdown and James Wiggins finished with 16 carries for 83 yards, including scoring scampers of 23 and one yard.

Gilmer's Tra Fluellen hauled in five passes for 126 yards and scores of 56 and 16 yards from Buckeye sophomore quarterback Mason Hurt. Bran Webb had 61 yards on 10 carries with a one-yard touchdown, matching Darryl Bush, who added 34 yards rushing.
