Pleasant Grove’s Landon Jackson Offered By Baylor + Kansas
The sixth and seventh Division I FBS scholarship offers arrived Wednesday for Pleasant Grove 2021 defensive end Landon Jackson.
Jackson (6-5, 212) announced via Twitter that both Baylor and Kansas have offered.
In addition to Wednesday's offers, Jackson holds FBS opportunities from Arkansas, Texas A&M, Texas State, Texas Tech, and Tulsa.
In helping lead Pleasant Grove to its first-ever football state championship in 2017, Jackson enjoyed breakout success.
Jackson finished his freshman year with 98 tackles (16 for loss), 11.5 sacks, 23 QB pressures, three forced fumbles, an interception, and six pass break-ups. He was part of a dominant defensive front that carried Pleasant Grove to a 16-0 record and the 4A Division II state title.
Baylor was 1-11 and 1-8 in the Big 12 Confernece in the first season under head coach Matt Rhule in 2017.
Kansas, meanwhile, was 1-11 and 0-9 in the Big 12 under third-year head coach David Beaty.
Jackson, like all freshman, is first eligible to sign with any team that offers him in December 2020.
