Pleasant Grove’s Landon Jackson Offered By Tulsa
Pleasant Grove 2021 defensive end Landon Jackson hasn't finished his first year of high school, but the freshman is beginning to pick up steam in the realm of recruiting.
On Tuesday, Jackson (6-5, 212) reported via Twitter an offer from Tulsa.
The Hawks' defender now has five FBS scholarship offers. In addition to Tulsa, Jackson holds offers from Arkansas, Texas A&M, Texas State, and Texas Tech.
In helping lead Pleasant Grove to its first-ever football state championship in 2017, Jackson enjoyed breakout success.
Jackson finished his freshman year with 98 tackles (16 for loss), 11.5 sacks, 23 QB pressures, three forced fumbles, an interception, and six pass break-ups. He was part of a dominant defensive front that carried Pleasant Grove to a 16-0 record and the 4A Division II state title.
Tulsa, a member of the American Athletic Conference, is coached by Philip Montgomery. The Golden Hurricane was 2-10 overall and 1-7 in league play in 2017.
Jackson, like all freshman, is first eligible to sign with any team that offers him in December 2020.
