SMU First to Offer Mineola’s Trevion Sneed
The first Division I scholarship offer has arrived for Mineola sophomore running back Trevion Sneed.
The Yellowjackets' playmaker reported via Twitter that SMU has offered.
Sneed (6-1, 210) became the third member of East Texas' 2021 recruiting class to collect at least one FBS offer, joining Pleasant Grove linemen Landon Jackson and Marcus Burris.
In 2018, Sneed rushed for 1,613 yards and 16 touchdowns on 219 attempts. He helped Mineola finish 6-4 with a berth in the Class 3A Division I bi-district round of the playoffs.
SMU just finished its first season under head coach Sonny Dukes. The Mustangs were 5-7 overall and 4-4 in American Athletic Conference play.
Sneed, like all sophomores, is first eligible to sign with any program that offers him in December of 2020.
