Chapel Hill's Robbie Williams Receivers First FBS Offer

The first Division I FBS scholarship offer arrived Tuesday for Chapel Hill 2019 wide receiver Robbie Williams.

The Bulldogs' pass-catcher announced via Twitter that Southern Miss has offered.

Williams (6-3, 195), who is the 27th player in East Texas' 2019 recruiting class to hold at least one FBS offer, also has FCS opportunities from Alcorn State, Prairie View A&M, and Arkansas-Pine Bluff, which offered later Tuesday.

He finished 2017 with 419 yards receiving and eight touchdowns as Chapel Hill went 3-7.

Southern Miss competes in the Conference USA. The Golden Eagles finished 2017 with a record of 8-5, losing in the Independence Bowl to Florida State.

Arkansas-Pine Bluff is an FCS school that competes in the Southwestern Athletic Conference. The Golden Lions hired Cedric Thomas as its new head coach this offseason. They finished 2-9 overall and 1-6 in the SWAC in 2017.

Williams, like all juniors, is first eligible to sign with any school that offers him beginning in December.
