Spring Hill’s Ground Attack Too Much for Troup in 52-23 Victory
TROUP -- Kiante Stoker ran for three touchdowns and Zach Tulpa added two, and Spring Hill opened its season with a 52-23 win over Troup, its second straight against the Tigers in the season opener.
The Panthers' offense scored five times on the ground and their defense forced five turnovers, including a 31-yard fumble return for a score by Jace Tiller.
After a Trent Allen 4-yard touchdown to cut Spring Hill's lead to 21-7 early in the second quarter, the Panthers scored the next 24 points to take a big 45-7 lead into halftime.
Stoker, who finished the game with 64 yards on the ground, scored his third touchdown in the third quarter, which was the Panthers' only score of the second half.
