Stephen F. Austin Offers Newton’s Darwin Barlow
Darwin Barlow keeps adding more.
Barlow, a running back at Newton, is already one of the most coveted recruits in East Texas. Stephen F. Austin joined the many schools already to offer him Sunday, according to his Twitter.
Barlow (6-0, 200) also holds major FBS offers from Arkansas, Baylor, Houston, Louisville, LSU, Missouri, Nebraska, Oklahoma State, Ole Miss, TCU, Texas Tech, Tulsa and Utah.
Last season, Barlow starred in the backfield, racking up 2,246 yards rushing and an area-leading 38 rushing touchdowns. He helped lead Newton to the Class 3A Division II state championship.
Stephen F. Austin competes in the Southland Conference of the NCAA's FCS subdivision. The Lumberjacks finished 2017-18 with a record of 4-7.
Barlow, like all juniors, is first eligible to sign with any school that offers him beginning in December.
