TEXARKANA -- TCU commit Tevailance Hunt caught a 30-yard touchdown from Riley Russell with 5:46 left to give Texas High a 39-35 win over Hallsville on Friday night in a District 16-5A matchup.

Hunt finished the game with six catches for 172 yards and three touchdowns to help Texas High (6-3, 4-1) take sole possession of second place in district. Hunt also threw a 27-yard touchdown pass to Kendall Reid 55 seconds into the game.

Hunt caught touchdowns of 48, 32 and 30 yards in the game.

Chris Sutton added 21 carries for 138 yards and a touchdown, while Russell finished 23 of 31 passing for 310 yards and four touchdowns.

Semaj Boyd paced Hallsville's offense with 22 carries for 142 yards and touchdown runs of 51, 4, 10 and 33 yards. The Bobcats (1-8, 1-4) rallied from a 19-7 halftime deficit to get within three points going into the fourth quarter.

Hallsville took the lead 45 seconds into the final period on Boyd's fourth touchdown run of the game before the Tigers responded with Hunt's final score and kept the lead for good.
