Texas State Offers Pleasant Grove’s Landon Jackson
The second Division I FBS scholarship offer arrived for Pleasant Grove 2021 defensive end Landon Jackson on Monday.
Jackson (6-5, 212) reported via Twitter that Texas State has offered.
The Hawks' pass-rusher was previously offered by Texas A&M.
In helping lead Pleasant Grove to its first-ever football state championship in 2017, Jackson enjoyed breakout success.
Jackson finished his freshman year with 98 tackles (16 for loss), 11.5 sacks, 23 QB pressures, three forced fumbles, an interception, and six pass break-ups. He was part of a dominant defensive front that carried Pleasant Grove to a 16-0 record and the 4A Division II state title.
Texas State, a member of the Sun Belt Conference, is coached by Everett Withers. The Bobcats were 2-10 overall and 1-7 in league play last season.
Jackson, like all freshmen, is first eligible to sign with any Division I program that offers him in December of 2020.
