Tuesday Volleyball: Beckville Defeats Timpson to Win District 20-2A

BECKVILLE -- The Beckville Ladycats defeated Timpson in a sweep, 25-14, 25-8 and 25-12 on Tuesday to claim the District 20-2A championship.

Jordan Tondreau led the attack with 14 kills, but Payton Jones wasn't far behind with 12. Mrinada Mize added six. Kinley Pepper finished with 37 assists and Courtlyn Nail had three aces.

Beckville finished its season 35-7 and 12-0 in district. The Ladycats now turn their attention to the playoffs, where they will Hawkins in the bi-district round at 6:30 p.m. Monday at Lobo Coliseum in Longview.

Carlisle completes sweep of Garrison

CARLISLE -- The Carlisle Lady Indians swept Garrison, 25-10, 25-17 and 25-11 to win on their senior night.

Heather Craig led with 12 kills and Emily Pendleton added 10 along with four blocks. Camdyn Gray finished with a team-high nine aces and Tori Esters with 20 assists and five digs.
