TYLER -- Trinity Christian Cedar Hill’s Jarrick Hawkins ran the opening kickoff 108 yards for a touchdown, and the Tigers never looked back in spoiling Tyler Grace's homecoming with a 60-0 win Friday night at Clyde-Perkins Stadium. 

Trinity Christian running back Maurice Washington made a huge impact in his first game of the season, running for touchdowns of 70, 54, and 23 yards and piling up 282 yards rushing on the night. 

Quarterback Shedeur Sanders threw touchdown passes of 10 yards to Kentavon Hawkins and four yards to Ca’Miron Smith. Ja’Marvin Hartfield had two touchdown runs and Qualan Jones one for Trinity Christian (4-1, 1-0 in TAPPS Division II, District 2).

Uchenna Uduma led the Cougars (1-5, 0-2) in rushing with 63 yards on 14 carries, and Grace quarterback Braydon Stone completed five passes for 96 yards. Jace Rees had two catches for 28 yards. Alvin Skipworth had 30 yards receiving and Griffin Kuykendall 25 for the Cougars.

Stone also had an interception.

The Cougars will have a non-district game next Friday night at Irving Cistercian, and then resume district play against Carrollton Prince of Peace on October 27, after a bye week.
