MESQUITE — Kamaury Thompson accounted for 370 yards and five touchdowns as North Mesquite took a 41-34 win over Robert E. Lee Friday night at Mesquite Memorial Stadium.

Thompson rushed for 150 yards with touchdowns of 19 and 12 yards, and he threw for 220 yards with touchdown passes of 71, 30 and 41 yards.

Thompson’s first touchdown run came in the final minute of the first quarter to give the Stallions a 10-7 lead.

Thompson had touchdown passes to Jawuan Clark and Terrius Younger in the second quarter, but Jamar Arceneaux scored from 7 and 5 yards out for Lee, and Jordan Printers had a 1-yard touchdown run as the Red Raiders led 27-24 at halftime.

North Mesquite’s Gerardo Soto tackled Arceneaux in the end zone for a safety with 9:03 left in the third quarter, and the Stallions took the lead on a 12-yard run by Thompson followed by a pass from Thompson to Younger on the two-point conversion.

The Red Raiders knotted the score at 34 with 25 seconds left in the third quarter with a 25-yard run by Jordan Printers.

North Mesquite took the lead for good with 10:57 remaining in the contest on a 41-yard pass from Thompson to Marcus Yow.

The Red Raiders had a chance to tie when Elliott Davison recovered a fumble at the North Mesquite 13 with 4:08 on the clock, but the Stallions forced and recovered a fumble by Printers on the next play.

Printers rushed for 118 yards and two touchdowns for Robert E. Lee. Jamarion Miller ran for 105 yards and a touchdown, and Arceneaux had two touchdowns on the ground for the Red Raiders (2-4, 1-1).
