Vanderbilt Offers Lufkin’s Jerrin Thompson
Jerrin Thompson added a Power 5 offer Monday.
Thompson, a 2020 DB from Lufkin, tweeted that Vanderbilt became the latest school to offer him.
Last season, Thompson was a breakout star on the defensive side of the ball. He finished with 95 tackles, four interceptions, and four forced fumbles in helping lead Lufkin to an 11-3 record and berth in the Class 6A Division II quarterfinals.
Vanderbilt competes in the SEC and finished 2017-18 with a 5-7 record.
Thompson, like all sophomores, is first eligible to sign with any school that offers him beginning in December 2019.
