ELYSIAN FIELDS –– The Waskom Wildcats rallied from an early deficit to take down rival Elysian Fields, 28-26, Friday night in District 11-3A Division II action.

Elysian Fields (4-3, 3-1) got on the board first with a two-yard run from Michael Ramirez. The Yellowjackets again scoring on a scoop and score by Christavian Smith to go up 13-0 at the end of the first quarter.

Waskom (6-1, 4-0) scored 28 consecutive points starting with a two-yard touchdown run by T.K. Hamilton and a four-yard touchdown run by Raymond Ramirez to end the half leading, 14-13.

In the second half, Waskom scored on a 76-yard TD run by Hamilton and a one-yard touchdown from Jacob Reeves to lead 28-13 heading into the fourth quarter.

Elysian Fields scored early the fourth quarter on a 4-yard run by Ramirez, and later scored on a 15-yard touchdown run by Ryan Wilkerson at the end of the fourth quarter to pull within two.

Waskom will host Daingerfield (4-2, 3-1) next Friday, while Elysian fields will go on the road to face Paul Pewitt (6-1, 3-1).
