West Rusk Rallies For Hard-Fought 18-17 Win Over Waskom

WASKOM – The West Rusk Raiders earned a hard-fought 18-17 win over Waskom on Friday night at Wildcat Stadium.

The Raiders (2-0) rallied from a 17-6 deficit in the second quarter with a pair of touchdowns from Talon Winings.

The West Rusk two-way standout recovered a fumble in the end zone, caught the game-winning 73-yard touchdown from LJ Harper with three minutes remaining, and picked off a Waskom pass to seal the game.

Both teams’ seasons resume next Friday. Waskom (1-1) plays at Hughes Springs, while West Rusk plays at Harmony.
