West Rusk’s DJ Hart Offered By Northwestern State
West Rusk 2019 ATH DJ Hart received his fifth Division I scholarship offer on Wednesday.
The Raiders' two-way prospect reported via Twitter that Northwestern State has offered.
Hart (6-0, 175) was previously offered by Kansas, Arkansas-Pine Bluff, Missouri State, and Stephen F. Austin.
This past season, Hart had four interceptions and 12 pass deflections for the Raiders. He was part of a vaunted defense that forced 39 turnovers as a whole. On offense, Hart accumulated 652 yards and scored five touchdowns.
West Rusk went 10-3, losing to eventual champion Newton in the regional quarterfinal.
Northwestern State is an FCS school that competes in the Southland Conference. The Demons are coached by Brad Laird, who was hired this offseason. Last season, Northwestern State was 4-7 overall and 4-5 in league play.
Hart, like all juniors, is first eligible to sign with any program that offers him in December.
