Baylor Offers Troup Quarterback Blake Lynch

Troup quarterback Blake Lynch, one of East Texas' top recruits for the class of 2015, has added another big-time scholarship offer to his portfolio just a week after receiving his first.

Baylor's call comes just five days after Mississippi State extended a scholarship offer to Lynch, who measured 6-4, 192 in shoes when he won the Top Quarterback Performance at the ETSN.fm Football Recruiting Combine on May 19. Lynch, battling a stomach illness, ran a laser-timed 4.51-second 40-yard dash and bench-pressed 185 pounds 16 times.

While he hasn't yet received an offer, Lynch also said on Twitter on Monday that he has heard from Oregon. Several other major FBS programs, including Texas, Alabama and Notre Dame among others, have also shown interest, indicating these offers from Baylor and Mississippi State are the first of many to come for Lynch.
