ETSN.fm Week 9 2A Poll: District 9-2A D-I Teams Turn Top 10 into Mess

Four teams from District 9-2A Division I are 2-1 in league play, and the round-robin defeats they're giving to each other make the ETSN.fm Week 9 2A Top 10 very hard to do.

No. 1 Newton (8-0) ripped Anahuac 41-6 and No. 2 New Boston (8-0) thrashed Hooks 58-22, but after that, it's virtual chaos compared to last week's poll.

Troup (7-1) fell from No. 3 to No. 7 after its 38-28 loss to White Oak (6-2), which moved from No. 10 to No. 6. Daingerfield (6-2) went from fifth to fourth after a 45-17 win against previously unbeaten Mount Vernon (7-1) which fell from No. 8 to No. 10.

Tatum (6-2) moved from sixth to fifth following a 48-21 win against Sabine. The Eagles at No. 5 start a four-team run through the eighth spot of squads from 9-2A D-I. Jefferson (7-1) was the hard-luck team this week, slipping from seventh to eighth despite a 36-22 win against Harmony on Saturday.

Arp (6-2) kept the No. 9 spot following its bye week.
